Cool looking firetruck

I have mentioned many times that Brody loves trains so for his birthday we wanted to take him to this cute train park. Weekend after weekend something came up or it was raining so we were never able to go until a week or so ago. He was so cute when he got out of the car and saw a bunch of big train cars. Everywhere we went he migrated to the train cars it was very funny. We took a ride around the park on a little mini train which Brody loved and couldn't get enough of the engine. They had a pretty cool looking fire truck at the park so we got to see that and have free ice cream. The park was really nice with places to have picnics, great toys to play on, a model train building, and of course train rides and trains to tour. Brody loved it all and it was fun to see him get all excited.

Bath Time

Brody when he was a little guy.

I realized I hadn't taken any pictures of Zach having a bath so here he is 7 mo old. I'm such a bad mom. For some reason I thought they looked a little more alike in these pictures. Maybe it was the double chins!!

Look at those rolls!!

Catching some Z's

Brody isn't one for taking naps anymore, but somedays he just can't help himself. He was outside playing with his train in the nice warm sun and pretty soon I couldn't see his hand moving anymore. I went to check on him and sure enough he had been lulled to sleep. I thought it was adorable so I had to share.

Brody's 3!!

Brody's Train Cake

On January 21st my big boy turned 3! We are a little late on posting for his b-day. I've been waiting to get the pictures from James' computer, but he is always on his computer. . . so this will have to do for now. We had a small little party for Brody with family and neighbors from next door. Brody loves loves loves trains so I attempted to make a train cake. It was a little sad in places, but over all very cute. Brody thought it was the best thing ever and that is what really counts. He didn't even want to open presents because it would take him away from his train cake. He was super cute!!
A few things about Brody: He loves anything to do with trains. He likes Thomas movies, the Polar Express, and just about any movie that has a train. Brody has learned how to work the computer and loves playing games and doing little activities. He also enjoys being outside playing at the park, or riding his bike. I just got him a soccer ball and he has quite the kick going on. Brody is such a happy little guy with an easy smile and fun personality!! He's my little cuddler and I'll take that as long as I can. We love you Brody and are so happy you are a part of our family. Happy Birthday Big Guy!! : )

We had such a wonderful Christmas this year. We are so greatful to our families who let us crash at your houses, eat all your food, and party until late in the evening every night!! : ) I don't think I've recovered yet. While at Raquel's house we got to ride motorbikes that the kids got for Christmas, and now I know what I would like for my birthday since that is closer then Christmas. Riding those bikes brought back so many memories. . . I loved it even if I couldn't feel my legs because of the cold. James took Brody out and he smiled the whole time, or so that is what I am told. Maybe his face was just frozen like that!! : ) Anyway, it was good times and good laughs (thanks Raquel I will forever have your facial expression on your way to meet the pavement imprinted in my head).
I feel bad because we didn't get to spend as much time with James's family as we had hoped due to sickness. However, we are grateful for the effort everyone put in to stick around and see us while we were there. Hopefully everything will work out and we will see everyone in July healthy and happy!! : )
Brody loved his present from Santa. . . he couldn't even open anything else he was so enthralled with his train set. He played with it for two days straight and slept with his trains. He did take time out to open and play with a helicopter he got, but not for long. Zach got a little light up lion with music, balls, and a hammer from santa and loved it too. So Santa scored this year. Both boys had a great time playing with cousins and I loved having everyone take care of my boys. I should have brought them all home with me!! : ) Thanks again to everyone for making our holidays the best ever.
